When planning group safaris, Wild Rainbow African Safaris always includes the opportunity to give back something back to Africa.
We have visited wildlife research facilities where we were given the opportunity to support and participate in their critical work. On most of our safaris we been able to visit and tour local schools and orphanages. Many of our guests have experienced true joy through the donation of basic school supplies and clothing that have made a difference in an child's life. Often we visit one of the many work projects where the local men and women are creating new ways to harness energy, supply clean water, and expand food production in their area.
Numerous conservation projects exist that provide the research and education necessary to monitor, protect and manage the wildlife of Africa. One such organization, Save The Elephants, has been instrumental in securing a future for the elephants of Africa. "Save the Elephants assists wildlife departments in their fight against ivory traders and poachers. Elephants are sensate creatures with complex levels of consciousness and it is our intentions to bring this to the world's attention", Dr. Iain Douglas-Hamilton, founder, Save The Elephants.

Giving back deepens our appreciation and understanding of the delicate balance of historic Africa and modern Africa. We are committed to lessening the environmental impact of tourists' visits while continuing to provide the opportunity to explore and experience Africa, up close and personal, for all our guests.
Interested in learning other ways to give back? Please send us an email and we'll be happy to share more about this rewarding opportunity.
