ITINERARY:
DAY 1-2:

Arrive in Nairobi. Spend the next two days visiting the Giraffe Centre, the Daphne
Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and the Karen Blixen Museum. Two nights at Fairview Hotel.

DAY 3:

Drive to the grasslands of the Maasai Steppes and on to Amboseli National Park for a game drive with a picnic lunch en route. Overnight at the luxurious Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge.

DAY 4-5:

After a leisurely breakfast we cross the border to Tanzania and climb slowly to above 3000 feet to Mbahe on the slopes of Kilimanjaro. Hike, bike, tour the farm, local waterfalls and the Mbahe Primary School. Two nights at Mbahe Farm House, an ecologically sustainable organic coffee and food farm.

DAY 6-7:

Drive to Tarangire National Park, known for it’s large prides of lions, leopards, giraffe, buffalo and an incredible diversity of birds. Overnight at Tarangire Safari Lodge.

DAY 8:

After breakfast, we head to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive and picnic in the park. Overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House, a 500 acre working farm.

DAY 9-11:

In the morning, take a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as “Africa’s Eden.” Picnic lunch in the crater. Afternoon drive to Serengeti National Park. Visit Olduvai Gorge, the “birthplace of humankind.” Three nights in a Mobile Tented Camp which follows the movement of the wildlife. Two days of game drives in Serengeti National Park, which could include pre-dawn game drives, late afternoon drives with a rest at camp for lunch or a full day game drive with a picnic lunch, depending upon seasonal and daily migration patterns.

DAYS 12:

After a final morning game drive, you board your flight to Arusha with a connection to Nairobi for your flight home.
