We begin in Cape Town - where modern South Africa was born - one of the most beautiful cities in the world, a spectacular meeting of mountain and sea. Explore the coast on a unique 3-Day hike along the African “wild” coast, enjoy the Cape Winelands, then cap it all off with an exciting wildlife safari at the exclusive Djume Voyatella Game Reserve!
ITINERARY:DAY 1:
Arrive in Cape Town and enjoy the luxury of Presidents Hotel.
DAY 2:
Ferry to Robben Island, infamous prison island for Nelson Mandela.
DAY 3:
Township touring today and learn about life under Aparthied.
DAY 4:
Visit scenic Cape Point & Boulders Beach, then travel on to wine country and our beautiful Franshoek B&B.
DAY 5:
A full day of wine tasting in the famous Franshoek “Winelands”.
DAY 6:
Fly to the coast for two nights seaside at the Morgan Bay Hotel.
DAYS 7:
Hike, horseback ride or sail along the “Wild Coast”.
DAYS 8:
An easy walk along the beaches with guide & packed lunches to Haga Haga overnight.
DAYS 9:
A second day of spectacular beach hiking, this time ending at Crawfords Chalet.
DAYS 10-11:
We fly to Djuma Safari Lodge, then spend a full day on safari.
DAYS 12-13:
Drive to Djuma Voyatella and two days in the South African bush.
DAYS 14:
Back to Johannesburg for return flights home.
